Elise, repeated rescue can eventually become a shadow operating model. Once people learn who will reliably absorb the unfinished task, the formal owner matters less and the capable person quietly becomes everyone else’s contingency plan. That is why the category of freely chosen support carries so much weight here: generosity stays healthiest when it remains a choice rather than an expectation the surrounding system begins budgeting around. I appreciate how carefully you separate care from ownership.
